Highlands was inspired by ancient nomadic weavings, sampled with a leather detail that creates great texture and variety within the design. A combination of weaving textures are expressed in this design, which create a topographic effect along the surface of the rug. Highlands uses sumac weave, cut pile and loop pile structures offering variety within an over all geometric composition. This rug is best made in wool and sunpat but silk can be added for effect.
