Rugs woven in the central Anatolian village of Konya are prized for the manner that they combine novel pattern elements into a traditional rug frame work of border and field. This repeating lozenge design is a Retorra tribute to the original antique Konya rugs of the late 19^th century. It is executed in our dragon weave, giving this new weaving a distinct patina and antique roots.
